At Step Tale, we want you to feel confident and happy with your purchase. If something’s not quite right, we’re here to help.
🕒 Returns
We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible, your item must be:

Unused and unworn
-
In original packaging
-
With tags attached
-
Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

🚚 Return Shipping
A flat return shipping fee of $12 CAD will be deducted from your refund, unless the return is due to:

A defective product

An incorrect item sent by us
Once your return is approved, we’ll send a prepaid shipping label and return instructions.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.
⚠️ Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns on:

Custom or personalized items

Gift cards
-
Final sale items
If you’re unsure if your item is eligible, please reach out to us before returning.
🔄 Exchanges
To make an exchange (e.g., size or style), please:

Start a return for the original item

Place a new order for the replacement item
We’ll refund the original item once we receive and inspect it.
Note: Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the exchange is due to our error (e.g., incorrect or defective item).
✅ Damages or Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us right away at support@steptale.ca, and we’ll make it right.
💳 Refunds
Once your return is received and approved:

You’ll get a confirmation email

A refund (minus the $12 return fee, if applicable) will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days

Banks or credit card companies may take additional time to process the refund
